Q: I need a car for everyday use (easy 10 pts)?
I have 2 high-end cars -2008 BMW 535xi and an 2004 Porsche Cayenne S- in which they're not-so-good on gas and not suitable for everyday use. So I'm looking for a good, brand new, reliable and fuel efficient car.
I have like 30-35k to spend on that car. I'm looking for a comfy and modernish sedan which have navigation system, iPod support and good sound system and stuff like that. I'm setting my eyes on the new Mitsubishi Lancer or the Lexus IS or something similar. Please help me decide or suggest me a better car. Thanks in advance.

Q: How come the European cars are much cheaper in USA than Germany?
For instance the the 2008 that is assembled in Germany is selling for $86,000 and for $58,000 in the USA.The Porsche Cayenne assembled in Germany as well is selling for $67,000(52,000 euros) in Germany but $45,000 in the USA.Prices are from their websites
A: I believe that the main reason is taxes!
Like a German car cost less in Switzerland than in Germany. However if you go to Denmark it cost nearly 5 times as much as in Germany.

A: It will likely appear at certain major autoshows as early as 2009... though for most auto shows, 2010 or even 2011 will be the point where it can be readily seen (this has been the pattern with prior high end releases by Porsche).
However, of you have all the current models, your best bet would be to talk to your salesman at the dealership, as they will be quite anxious to assist you... locally, the PCA guys here that have 2 or even three current models tend to get royal treatment from their dealer and have been readily put at the top of waiting lists for new models as well as given loaners of new cars to help them make up their mind on what options they want. They will be able to give you much more information, and given the amount you've spent, will likely be able to arrange for something more (if you are also purchasing any of the new models coming, they will almost certianly arrange a preview at the factory if you take European Delivery).

Alright, im sure many of you have seen pictures of the new 2008 Porsche Cayenne around or even on Porsche.com
What is getting me angry is that everyone says something else about the new car, im not talking about how the car looks, no, im talking about weather the car is a RE-DESIGNED or FACELIFT from the current Porsche Cayenne.
Anyone who's got infomration please tell us if the new Porsche Cayenne is a Re-designed car or just minor updates(facelift)

A: Both Cayenne and Touareg2 have excellent driving when on the street (for a SUV), but the Volkswagen Touareg2 seems to be a bit better off-roading, despite the Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg2 is basically built on the same platform.
The Volkswagen Touareg2 was proven as a capable off-roader as the vehicle was in the Dakar Rally 2007 as the Touareg2 survived to reach the end. Also, It has been claimed that the Touareg2 can go through aggressive off-road driving, like on Hell’s Revenge course in Moab, Utah. with a price ranging from $39,320-$68,320 it is thousands of dollars cheaper than a Porsche Cayenne as well ($43,400-$93,700 for the Cayenne).
As for the Cayenne, it has rarely ever been used off-road, except for some auto magazine & TV road tests, as some claim the Porsche Cayenne is like the Touareg2 in soft-roading, yet somewhat less capable than the Touareg2 in aggressive off-roading due to the overhang, which makes it harder to enter and exit steep slopes. Yet since most buyers think that since it is a Porsche, not many people go off-road in it because they don't want to scratch up the pricey SUV like that.
For all-around capability on or off-road, pick the Volkswagen Touareg2.
