Q: porsche cayenne?
I want a porsche cayenne but i dno if i should either buy it or lease it...
Will this car stay high class in 3-6 years or will it lose its touch an be a regular car?
A: Huh cumon man a Porsche is a Porsche and the cayenne eventhough is jus a VW Tuareg but Still it'll never Loose its Touch even after 10 years jus like the Range Rover, I my self own the first gen 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, its a Great Car Honestly Yes a Car not a Bloody TRUCK its a Car or youcan Call it an SUV but for the sake of God not a TRUCK its not one of your American Dodge's or Ford's or Chevy's its a Higher Class SUV like the Range Rover.
I'd Never Trade my Cayenne Turbo S for a New SUV unless its a New Cayenne Tubo S cos I love it Eventhough it does 8 sometimes 7 mpg but I love it.
and once again a Cayenne, Toureg, Q7, X5, Range, MB M Class, G Class GL Class and the upcoming bently and Lamborghini SUV's are not TRUCKS!!! they are jus called cars or SUV's.
Linkin Soldier out!.

A: It looks like you can install these on the car. Having the parts listed on their site means that it is thought through and the level of difficulty is within reason for someone who is mechanically inclined.

Hi, I run a small web development business. I am looking to purchase a USED 2004 Porsche Cayenne SUV, can i write this off against my business since it is over 6,000 lbs? How does that work? How much would I essentially pay?
A: if you can prove you use it directly for your business. or if you are just trying to be a big shot by driving a porsche product

Q: feedbacks in owning a preowned 04 Porsche Cayenne S?
I am looking at a used 04 Porsche Cayenne S, has 44k miles on it and is CPO. Dealership adds 2 years/100k miles on the warranty. Is there anything to watch out for? any 'common' problems with this SUV? I was looking for a good Porsche (US) Cayenne forum to get some research but can't find any (good ones that is). thanks in advance for those who'll post responses.
A: buying a used Porsche is not like buying an American made vehicle people who own those usually give them the best of attention and maintenance,so you,ll probably get a really good vehicle,i worked for a Porsche dealer while i was in school and the service they give the used cars and trade in,s is un -real,they go through a lot of inspections before they will certify them as a good used vehicle,i own a 944 right now that has given it share of good days of service,if you decide to buy this one have it checked over real good and ask to see maintenance records with it,I'm sure they,ll be there, good luck with it,you,ll enjoy it, i have mine.
Q: I was thinking of buying the Porsche Cayenne 2008 edition, do you think it is a good car?
I just want the regular Porsche Cayenne, so supercharged bullshit. How is the handling and the performance. And what are the saftey features.
I am coming to Yahoo! for an unbaised idea of the car.
A: Firstly, it's not a supercharger, its a twin-turbocharger. They will be around in '08 and beyond. I have several friends that won them and they all love them. I've seen them on the track, but mostly for a glorified parade lap. They handle and perfrom very well, as you'd expect. Check the Porsche website for safety features.
Other than the turbo, there's the 6 cyl base and the 8 cyl "S". As you'd expect, the 6 is less expensive with better gas mileage, but not as fast. I have a friend in the office who just bought the 6. He wishes he never drive the "S". However, his choice will suit him.
Here's a link the Porsche site, with an offer for a free DVD. I have one and it's pretty cool:

Q: which is better the mercedes m class, or the porsche cayenne?
the m class models are nice and smoth and i like em but how is the cayenne? i like porsche genreally over benz but have never been in a cayenne. how is it? is it better?
i didnt buy em im 16 my dad works for a luxury dealership and has the priveledge to take out some companty cars.
A: Here's the thing, these two cars are completely different monsters. Unarguably, both are excellently built for the purpose they seek to serve. The ML Mercedes (I'll speak about the outgoing model) is a very smooth and safe car. It has a lot of luxuries but not that many you would expect from a Mercedes, especially when buying the 500, or the AMG 63. The computer based computer embedded next to the tachometer can be a pain to use due to its complicatedness. Both cars are very quick, specifically the AMG version, which boasts 503 horses and is mated with an AMG air suspension which allows the driver to set its stiffness and simultaneously the height of the car. A less sporty version of this suspension is an option for the non-AMG ML's. Truth be told, even in sport mode, the cars are not as sporty as a Cayenne or a BMW X5 4.8is. Also, the steering is very smooth which although is good for everyday driving, it can be rather annoying when you want to drive the car a little harsher. It lacks feel and involvement for the driver.
Now, the Cayenne is a Porsche. That should say a lot by itself. It has excellent ride quality and can manage very well off-road. But it is on the road that this car shows what it's is really made of. It handles and drives like a sports car, something very hard to get with an SUV, even with an AMG version of the ML. The interior of the Cayenne is very simple but still amazingly luxurious with tons of convenience features. Though, I got to say, that Porsche went wrong with the exterior. Sharing the same wheel-base with the Volkswagen Touareg is not a bad thing and it is very common amongst related motor companies to share technologies, but the design of the Cayenne is only distinguished by its front fascia and rear end. Thus, if you remove those you will see a Touareg, which is not that pleasing when you paid to get a Porsche.
It is a tough call. The Cayenne is getting rather old whereas the ML has been around since late 2005 and won't change for a long time, thus making it fresher. It is all up to what you're looking for in a car.
Hope I helped, good luck with your choice.
Q: Is the Audi Q7 built on the same chassis as the Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg?
I know that the Cayenne and the Touarge we built as a joint project, and the Q7 looks very similar and is made by Audi which is part of the VW compony.
A: And they all came from one happy company called Auto Union. I would not buy the Porsche Cayenne, the Audi is pretty much on the middle. So the best bang for your dollars is the VW Touareg. Is the same technology with the same quality. Selection of engines, ride characteristics, stile features and comfort creatures depends on how much are you willing to pay or how much of an image you want to show. Is like Toyota, Nissan and Honda with their high end cars. An up scale of the lower ones sold at higher price. For those that want to show off wealth.
Q: Is it true that a Porsche Cayenne may outrun small sporty cars in open roads?
Like Honda Civics and Mitsubishi Eclipses?
Both in acceleration AND cornering?
I have doubts that a SUV, with a high gravity center, may corner this good.
A: The non S model has a V6, they're pretty slow. They do handle well for an SUV, with big tires that help the cornering.
So - a non S won't outrun a Civic, but it'll run with it.
An S (V8 non turbo) will outrun a regular Civic, but not an Si
The S Turbo will smoke almost any small car except an Evo or something like that.
Q: What can cause the radio volume not to work on a 2004 Porsche Cayenne?
All radio functions work but there is no noise coming out of speakers. I already checked the mute button. Volume knob is operational but no sound.
A: 1.) operator error
2.) bad fuse
3.) bad button/knob
4,) blown operational amp inside radio
5.) speekers missing
6.) operators' hearing aid requires service/ or requires a hearing aid
Q: How much weight can a Porsche Cayenne pull?
I love this car and need a car that will be able to pull a horse trailer in an emergency? Any ideas?
A: according to the Porsche website it says 3.5 tonnes (7,716 lbs.)
Q: Is it just me or do the VW Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne have the same body type?
It seems as if they have the same body style- but it might just be me. I would love any feedback and answers that I can get; so please if you have an answer or just a thought let me know. Thanks so much and have a great day.
A: Yep, they are very close. And the reason is that they shared development cost and designs so Porsche could have a suv. Without sharing the cost they would have never developed the Cayenne so that is why there are a lot a like. And VW will and does share some of Porsche's engines. And you may ask why? Because Porsche own 30% or so of VW.
It looks that I have miss spoken about Porsche owning 30% of VW after doing a little more research it is about 27%. And is looking to buy more. If you think my numbers are off just check the links below the Motor Trend Site is the best
The goal is for Porsche to have controlling share of VW and in doing so they will have control of Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatt all of which VW owns right now. Check out the Motor Trend link it has a lot of information.
Q: How do can I set my garage door remote to one of the preset buttons in my '08 Porsche Cayenne?
I don't have the manual since it was missing at the dealership and haven't received it in the mail yet. There are spare buttons that I was told can be set to my garage door and was wondering how to do that. Would love to get rid of my remote that is constantly falling off my visor! Anyone know?
Mine was the only '08 model at the dealership otherwise I would have the manual. the dealer thinks another seller misplaced it, no big deal...
A: You probably have rolling codes. If so,
1) press the two outer buttons on the in-car remote until you get a fast blink (this erases everything).
2) Then, press and hold the button you want to program and the remote control (that came with the door opener) at the same time.
3) Hold until the blink goes faster, then release.
4) Then -- and don't delay much here -- get to the door opener unit itself (box in the ceiling) find the button for training, press it, make sure a little light comes on.
5) Get back in your car and press and hold the same button you've been programming again. Again wait until it flashes fast before you let go.
Should work now.
If you do not have rolling codes, steps 1-3 should suffice.
Some times the garage door opener is not strong enough to program it...this may be a problem. Be sure you get fresh batteries or try the other remote you get with the opener.
Q: What causes a popping noise in the intake of my Porsche Cayenne when I rev the engine?
happens when in neutral and pressing on the gas pedal really quickly. sounds like whooshing popping sound. does it once with each rev.
non turbo engine
A: waste gate on the turbo
