Q: What is your favorite Porsche of all time, what do you own, and what is the coolest one you've ridden in?
Personally, I have a Guards Red 2005 997 Porsche Carrera S, and have ridden in a 997 GT3RS. Pretty exhilarating ride in the RS, and one of my favorites. I also like any RUF or Gemballa, and as many of you do, I enjoy the Carrera GT, GT2, GT3, GT1, 959, most of the classic ones, Turbos, and 356 because it was the beginning of all.
Cool thought: The Buggati Veyron uses a Volkswagon Engine, which was founded by Ferdinand Porsche, who also founded Porsche (duh). Without Porsche, the Buggati wouldn't be so great!
A: Favorite Porsche: So many to choose from! This is probably an area that is subject to recent experience... I recently wound up spending a good chunk of time around a 908/3; an amazing car to be sure, and the sound of that Flat-8 when udner WOT is simply amazing. And as I consider a favorite, this car does spring to mind, event though it is not a car I would normally consider among all the cars Porsche has made (even though is so many ways, it is a perfect example of everything that makes these cars wonderful). But that said, I would probably need to look towards two other cars from the same era (taking a favorite street car, and a favorite race car): for the street, the 2.8L 911 RSR as some of these were sold as street cars. All these years later, it still remains the target for many of the R-Gruppe cars around today! For the track, I have a hard time NOT picking the 917/30, but for pure versitility and success, it would have to be the 956/962.
What I own: At present a mid-80s 3.2L Carrera, which is mostly driven at the track... still does some time on the street though. Fun car, and an absolute blast to drive (a challenge to drive at the limit, which makes it even funner).
Coolest as driver: GT3RS, GT2, 997S, 996 Turbo, 993 Turbo S, 930, 911RS, 959, 550.
Coolest as a passenger: GT3RSR, 908, 964RS.
And a variety of extremely non-stock 911s and 914s.
Also, as a note on Buggati... Ferdinand Porsche designed the VW Bug, and his son founded the current car company with their name. Buggati though was already a legendary name by the time Porsche was founded! If you are looking for a direct connection, consider instead that VW owns the rights to the Buggati name, and under it produces the current Buggati cars... and Porsche is the majority shareholder of VW.
Q: My 2005 Porsche Carrera GT keeps trying to spin out and it did it once. How can prevent it?
I Keeps Making High Revs when this happen
A: Stop pushing it so hard across the floor!
Q: how fast does a 2005 porsche carrera gt go?
A: 205 mph
Q: How much would this be in monthly payments?!?
I was wondering if anyone who was EDUCATED on this subject could tell me an approx/average monthly payment for a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that costs $334,000. For a down payment lets say $15,000. I was just wondering for future reference. I want only educated answers, not stupid guess's or uneducated answers. Please answer, thanks.
Lets say 6 years for the loan
A: OK well that certainly is a nice car, and that nice car will come with a nice monthly payment, not to mention insurance. I went to a sight that I used when I bought my new car to figure out the payment. Bankrate.com. You can use this site to figure out mortgages too, and what adding extra money will do to the life of the loan. Depending on your credit history interest rates for cars are between 5.99% and 8.5%. If we go with 7.5% financing 319000.00 your monthly payment for a 72 month loan would be $5515.55. With the calculator your can play around with different down-payments and different interest rates. You can also I think search for lenders.
Q: sports car for my bday?
hi my mom is buying me a sports car for my bday and i like cars like the 2005 porsche carrera gt :) got any cars for me? and i wanna be able to drive it during the summer and winter. so go find me some cars! haha
A: There aren't that many sports cars that have good performance in both summer and winter conditions. I recommend get a car with plenty of b.h.p. on tap, with a set of performance snow tires to spare. The car should also have enough ground clearance to drive in winter conditions. If you're not a sports-car purist, get a Direct Injection 2008 Cadillac CTS-V. Another alternative would be an '08 BMW M3. If you're not the luxury sports car type, a Mustang GT500 convertible would be an excellent choice. In fact, you could practically get any car short of a Bugatti Veyron if you're mom has enough money to buy a Carrera GT. If that's the case, I strongly recommend getting a Porsche 911 Turbo convertible, fully loaded. Some say it's a better piece than the Carrera GT. It would be advisable that you check the ground clearance. Any car with ground clearance lower than 4 inches, such as a Lamborghini or a Corvette, would be completely inadequate on a road covered with snow. If you're mom's budget isn't so extravagant, the Volkswagen Golf GTi isn't that bad either.
