Q: Porsche for a 18 year old?
My dad is buying me either a 2007 Porsche Boxster, a 2007 BMW 335i, or any other car that is like those two and under $60,000 as my graduation present. I have test driven the Boxster and the 335i. Both are nice cars, but the Porsche tugs at my heart. What does everyone think of this? Are there any other cars that you would recomend? I'm trading in my 2005 325i Sport. Actually for those of you who think I am completely spoiled, I invested my Bar Mitzvah money into stocks and funds, so I am putting half of the money up for the car. My dad is paying the rest, because I graduated with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and have a lacrosse scholarship to a very good college. Even though my parents would pay for the insurance, and the whole car, I want to be more responsible for it. Sorry life sucks for some of you. For those of you who have offered allternative cars (350Z and older Porsches) thank you very much. Idont think I will have a problem supporting a family with my own pay check.

A: I'm also jealous - but I would go for the 335. It isn't as sweet a driver, but sweet enough, and is much more practical, and will be cheaper to insure. If you're going convertible all the way, the BMW has the advantage of the hard top, which is somewhat more secure. Good Luck!

A: Whatever. You aren't giving the Mustang a chance. At least make it a 2008 or a Shelby. I would rather have the Boxster - It's brand new and I could resell it for more.
